Tomatoes
Stupice
Heirloom. A small, mostly round, red tomato from the former Czechoslovakia is always my first tomato of the season. It has wonderful zingy tomato flavor.
Morden Yellow
Small to medium sized yellow/orange fruit, with a slightly flattened shape. Developed in 1932 at a research station in Morden, Canada.
Jaune Flamme
Heirloom. A beautiful, round, orange tomato from France, with a unique fruity flavor.
Costoluto Genovese
Heirloom. An odd shaped red tomato, often with lots of accordian folds. The complex flavor leans toward sweetness.
Amish Salad
Heirloom. Small, salad sized tomato, with a pink-red color. The beautiful, perfect fruits have a meaty flesh.
Principe Borghese
A small, red tomato, grown in the Tuscany region of Italy.
Rose deĀ Berne
Heirloom. Pinkish red, beautiful, medium to large, round tomato, with a soft skin. It has a not too tart, not too sweet flavor.
Sweet Million
Cherry. Small, one to two bite red tomatoes that burst in your mouth.
Galina
Heirloom. Cherry. Small, yellow tomatoes with a subtle sweet flavor. It was brought to the US from Siberia.
Isis Candy
Cherry. A larger cherry, with a beautiful red/orange coloring. This is a couple bites of rich, sweet, fruity flavor.
Green Zebra
Heirloom. This tomato is green when it is ripe…green with a yellow blush under dark green stripes. The medium sized fruit have sweet and tangy flavor.
Striped German
Heirloom. These medium to large tomatoes, are shaded yellow and red, giving the marbled interior a special beauty. They can be oddly shaped, with ribbed shoulders, but have a complex, fruity flavor.
Brandywine
Heirloom. Very large, often weighing in at over a pound, these tomatoes are not beautiful. But, one catalog describes the taste as “very rich, loud, and distinctively spicy.”
Pineapple
Heirloom. Another very large tomato, that like the Brandywine, can weigh more than a pound. This one is red and yellow streaked, inside and out. The color is beautiful, though the shape may not be and has a full tomato flavor.
Persimmon
Heirloom. This medium to large orange/yellow tomato dates back to the mid-1800s.
Lena
This large, red sauce tomato was given to me by a friend, who got it from her neighbor, named Lena. The heart shaped medium to large fruits are meaty and full flavored.
Amish Paste
Heirloom. Though it was discovered in Wisconsin, this sauce tomato comes from the Pennsylvania Amish. Medium to large in size, it has a well balanced sweet and acid flavor.
San Marzano
Heirloom. The classic Italian paste tomato, with medium sized fruit, has a rich tomato flavor.

Hi Michelle – I was busy cooking up my batch of Romas and Siletz with your varieties this week, so I didn’t order anything. Hope you found the tote at your front door I left. Next week, the 20th, can you please bring 1/2 lb of the incredible Isis Candy and 1/2 lb of that cool looking Lean tomato ? My favorite tasting varieties you brought are the
German Striped and the Isis Candy .
Thanks, Willow Elliott
